Made it through the gauntlet...

Gauntlet?  Really?  That's a bit of a hyperbole to describe my day or week, but anyway, I did exercise today at the community center.  I ran at about 5.5 (sometimes less, sometimes more) for 40 min.  I also fangoriously devoured mango-peach salsa with tortilla chips today after work despite efforts to restrain myself....

Hey doctors-- here's a question:  what's the research on cravings?  When we crave, say, tortilla chips is that our bodies' way of saying, "Salt..!  I need salt!"

Maybe I needed salt?

  1. I think the typical American diet gets more than enough salt. Your body just might be saying "Tortilla chips are my kryptonite!!" I don't know much about the science of cravings, but would be doubtful that you aren't getting enough salt...Now if you were craving watermelon, that would be something!

  3. No watermelon or chop suey cravings (like those of Darling in Lady & the Tramp...) No baby in this womb.

A co-worker of mine had a baby today though. Can't wait to meet him. I do love the little ones. :)
