plateau central

So i guess its true what they say.. during weightloss you hit a plateau! Well I hit mine when I noticed the scale not budging anymore! Ugh! I did some reasearch how to bust through this natural landfeature, and I have answers! I am now switching up my workouts with intensity/duration/resistence. I have gotten into a groove with always an hour of running or elliptical; so now I'll switch it up and a few days a week i'll go really hard for 30 minutes, with some intense weight lifting. This has already started to bump me outta my plateau. Gosh I love the internet...its so smart! It also suggested being 'bad' a few days a week. I tend to always eat the same (healthy) things, so when I splurge I feel like its ok. And apparently, my google search agrees! Spluring once in a while or zig zagging as they call it a few days a week will confuse your body and push you outta your rut.

Can we bring this blog back PUHH LEEZE? Spring is almost here and I need some encouragement and want to encourage you guys. We started this for a reason, and unfortuantly have not kept it going. But maybe nicer weather, like Moooochie said, will get us all in the spirit to; move it, move it. so .. updates please :)

  1. Plateau, huh? Maybe your body is simply happy to bee where it bees? But you feel like there's still a ways to go?

My body says, no zig-zagging! then it says, please pass the Peach-Mango salsa! (which is quite healthy if you can resist eating half a bag of tortilla chips w/) My biggest downfall? Ice cream! I love eating/drinking cold milky ice cream...I'm hoping this protein shake business w/ almond milk will be a help. I bet frozen protein pops would be good!

Okay and for the record, last night when I made up some DesignerWhey protein shake, I first made it w/ 8 oz. water = yuck. Then tried with 8 oz. almond milk = yuck. I then had a horrible taste in my mouth until this morning. Rather than pour the drinks out, I put them in the refrigerator.

Guess what? By some magic, I tasted the almond milk Designer Whey one today & it didn't take like the harsh metals I tasted last night. What happened overnight? Did they have a chance to combine & dissolve fully & have their taste masked?

Hmm....I mostly put them in the 'fridge thinking that if they got a chance to "settle down" (the air whipped in by the magic bullet had a chance to float up to the top) they'd be less likely to cause gas or bloating. I did not plan on the taste magically transforming. So..what's up with that?

    What is up with

  2. im so confused why your protein is not good? How perplexing.. All I can say is choke it down or hide it in foods ( like yogurt and pudding or cereal), then buy better tasting stuff. Those folks at the nutrition store know which ones are good. And not a long ways,, id like to lose 7 more. My goal was 24..
